ORIは、日本の「折る」という造形文化から着想したディスプレイオブジェです。連続するひとつの面が、折れ、返り、再び立ち上がることで生まれるリズミカルな輪郭。見る角度によって直線にも曲線にも感じられるその姿は、紙を折るような軽やかさと、彫刻のような存在感を併せ持ちます。商品をただ「置く」のではなく、一つひとつのために小さな舞台をつくる。光と影を受けながら連続する面が、そこに置かれるものの輪郭を静かに際立たせます。デジタルファブリケーションによって生まれた、新しい「折」のかたち。ORIは、プロダクトと空間の間に、新たなリズムをつくります。
A single surface folds, creating lines, rhythm, and form.
ORI — meaning “fold” in Japanese — is a display object inspired by the Japanese art and sensibility of shaping through folding.One continuous surface bends, turns, and rises again, creating a rhythmic silhouette that shifts between line and curve depending on the viewing angle. Its form combines the lightness of folded paper with the presence of a sculptural object.Rather than simply holding an object, ORI creates a small stage for each piece it presents. As light and shadow move across its continuous surface, the objects placed upon it are quietly brought into focus.A new expression of the fold, shaped through digital fabrication.ORI brings a distinct rhythm to the space between object and architecture.
