大地に刻まれた地層のように、幾重もの時間を重ねて生まれるテーブル。
「SOU（層）」という名は、一層ずつ積み重ねられる、その独自の造形から名付けられました。ゆるやかに揺らぐ積層の跡は、樹木の幹にも、風や水に削られた岩肌にも見える。デジタルによって生み出されながら、どこか自然の風景を思わせる佇まいを目指しました。光や見る角度によって陰影を変え、空間の中に静かな存在感を生み出します。
Like geological strata shaped by the passage of time,SOU TABLE emerges layer by layer.
Its name, SOU — meaning “layer” in Japanese — comes from the distinctive form created through the additive process of 3D printing.The gently undulating layers evoke the trunk of a tree, or stone slowly sculpted by wind and water. Born through digital fabrication, its form carries an unexpected sense of nature.As light moves across its surface, subtle shadows reveal new expressions, giving SOU a quiet yet distinctive presence within a space.
