ANは、日本に古くからある小さな静寂の空間「庵」から着想した、ひとりのための空間オブジェです。身体をやわらかく包み込む曲面と、外の世界へ向かってひらかれたひとつの入口。
完全に閉ざすことなく、光や気配を受け入れながら、内と外のあいだに穏やかな境界をつくります。「AN（庵）」という名に込めたのは、広さや豪華さではなく、小さな空間だからこそ生まれる豊かな時間。植物由来の素材を一層ずつ積み重ねることで形づくられた壁面には、手仕事の跡のような繊細な揺らぎが残ります。デジタルファブリケーションによって生まれた未来的な造形の中に、日本の茶室にも通じる静けさを重ねました。腰を下ろす。ひと息つく。誰かと向き合う。あるいは、ただ静かに過ごす。ANは、空間の中にもうひとつの小さな空間をつくり、日常の中に静かな余白を生み出します。

AN — meaning a small, secluded retreat in Japanese — is a spatial object inspired by the intimate places of stillness found throughout Japanese culture.Its softly curved walls embrace the body, while a single generous opening maintains a subtle connection to the world outside. Neither completely open nor enclosed, AN creates a gentle boundary where light, presence, and silence can coexist.The name AN reflects the idea that richness does not always come from scale or ornament, but from the quality of time created within a small space.Built layer by layer from plant-based material, its surface retains delicate irregularities reminiscent of traces left by the hand. Through digital fabrication, a contemporary form emerges while carrying the quiet sensibility of the Japanese tea room.Sit. Pause.
