野に佇む兎の姿から着想した、彫刻のようなチェア。背もたれの先端から伸びる二つの輪郭は、周囲の気配にそっと耳を澄ませる兎の耳を思わせます。そこから一枚の面が身体を包み込むように流れ、座面から脚部へと連続する、有機的なフォルムを描きます。「USAGI」という名に込めたのは、自然の中にある生命の気配。動物の姿をそのまま模倣するのではなく、耳、背中、脚といった特徴を抽象化し、ひとつの家具として再構築しました。3D積層造形によって生まれる繊細な層の揺らぎや、わずかに不均一な表情も、この椅子を形づくる大切な要素。デジタルから生まれた造形でありながら、どこか生きもののような温度を感じさせます。座るための家具であり、空間に静かな生命の気配を添えるオブジェクト。USAGI CHAIRは、家具と彫刻の境界に佇む一脚です。

USAGI CHAIR is a sculptural chair inspired by the quiet presence of a rabbit in nature.Two distinctive peaks rise from the backrest like attentive ears, while a continuous surface flows gently downward, embracing the body before extending seamlessly into the seat and structural base.The name USAGI — Japanese for “rabbit” — reflects the presence of life found in nature. Rather than literally reproducing the animal, its characteristic ears, back, and posture have been abstracted and reinterpreted as a piece of furniture.Created through additive 3D printing, subtle variations in the layered surface are intentionally preserved as part of its expression. Though born from a digital manufacturing process, these delicate irregularities give each piece an organic warmth and individuality.Both a functional chair and a quiet sculptural presence, USAGI CHAIR stands at the boundary between furniture and art.
